Retail therapy and a challenge

We have had a good day out on the retails parks around Norwich trying to tie up some more of the Christmas Shopping.   Our family always produces a list at Christmas so mainly everyone gets what they would like for Christmas which is great.   We share the list on Google between three of us and as long as you annotate with a symbol we don’t duplicate.   I love Christmas so I also tend to buy cheapie daft pressies for socks and on the tree.   It’s all good fun really.   It has also been a good day weather wise so that was another reason for making this a ‘Norwich’ day.

My share today is this Christmas Card

Promarkers challenge card

It was one of the first images I coloured in with my very first Promarkers.   I wasn’t sure at first whether I would be able to use them as I have never really been a ‘colouring’ type of person.   I got very bright basic – red. green and yellow and looking at this image now I must also have bought a blender pen as I had heard that it was more of an eraser than a blender and therefore you could remove colour with it.   The images have been sitting on my desk for a month or more as I wasn’t too sure what I would do with them.   The image is not very big and seemed too small or too big for anything I tried with them until I tried this.   The card candy has been coloured with the poppy, the sentiment is a peel off , as is the strip of Christmas trees.   I have used some large glitzy stars on the tree itself and forgive my not very good stamping.     I rather like its quirky-ness.   The card is from Craft Work Cards and is a really nice quality.   The ‘Passion for Promarkers’ blog has a challenge on until 4th Jan and it is ‘Anything goes’.

I am off to link up with them and then its off to the land of nod for me.
