Well it has been a few weeks since I have blogged due to various things going on in our household. As you will know OH has been going for some chemo to help control his cancer and the first cycle laid him very low and I found it really hard to cope with his constant fatigue. Goodness knows how he coped with it as there were times when he could barely lift a finger without getting all het up. Anyway he got over that and we have had a long weekend with his family and mine. It was good to see everyone and I think his young brother was pleased to see him looking rather better than he had been last time he saw him. C & J had visited us when OH was at his worst with the first lot of chemo and so had been a bit shocked at the change in him. Anyway we are now on the second cycle of chemo which I didn’t think he would go for so we will see how he fares with this lot.
I have managed to get a few cards done over the last few weeks for various friends etc but have stupidly forgotten to take photographs – derrh! I have a card to make for OHs nephew and his wife who have just had a baby girl. We are now a Great Uncle and Aunt!! No grandchildren of our own yet, just our ‘honoury’ one.
I will leave you with a picture of a lovely dessert I had when we went out with my parents to celebrate my Dads birthday last month. We took them to Ripon for the day and a beautiful day it was too. I think the name of the restaurant was called ‘Lockwoods’ and their desserts were very impressive and tasty. The whole meal was good and we were pleased with the choice of where to eat. Ripon is a pretty place with a lovely cathedral and a workhouse museum which was very interesting.
I hope to get back to blogging a bit more regularly again and can I thank you all for your kind thoughts and wishes at this difficult time. I have been quite overwhelmed with the knowledge that people who don’t know us have taken the time to think about us and also to pray for us.
Take Care and Happy Crafting all
