Wind & Rain

Well it was a bit dismal this weekend weather wise.  We got to town on Saturday and it stayed fine and on Sunday I managed to get washing dried cos it was very windy but you can’t by any stretch of the imagination say it has been nice just that it hasn’t rained.   Today doesn’t look like it is going to turn out any better but I am off to the village coffee morning despite the grey  outlook.

I hosted a challenge over on the Docrafts forum which finished on Saturday and offered a prize for the winner as it was quite a hard subject.  We were doing an ABC challenge and we had got to Z.   In my wisdom I thought we would go for Zodiac – no, not a good choice but 5 other people joined in and they did some great cards.   I have made up a small gift with embellishments in and I hope that the winner likes  it – have forgotten to take a picture so maybe she may put one on th forum so I can at  least see what I sent later if I ever do this again.

There will be some cards this week to show as I was quite busy yesterday.   My blogger son is slowly getting me into some sort of system and is trying to encourage me to blog more often but with less content so I am going to attempt that this week.   His advice is ‘Keep it short – keep it simple’.

The card to show today is for a challenge.   It was originally for two but once again the deadline has passed for one of them!.

Cute card Thursday Challenge 125

Over on the Flourishes blog last week their challenge was ‘Kids Play’.   I quite liked the concept of this and thought of Hopscotch as my game.   Missed their deadline but  Cute Card Thursday, had asked for trees and leaves and so this was also for their challenge.  Have managed the trees not sure about the leaves though!    I have used a Waltzing Mouse house stamp, Charlie Brown is a stamp by Stampabilities. the trees were cut from some free papers, and everything else is from my stash,  I was pleased with my hopscotch grid which I drew using a gel pen and a tiny square punch to make a template.   It is a little bit off the wall but a bit cute so should qualify.

Happy Crafting.
